People and Planet friendly supply chains
Innovating and co-creating for worker well-being and sustainable business.
Innovating and co-creating for worker well-being and sustainable business.
The world is connected through supply chains.
Even the t-shirt you are wearing has travelled through many people, places and processes to reach you.
Yet these processes are often opaque, fragmented, and difficult for businesses to influence.
We exist to change that.
Kritee works to make supply chains more ethical, inclusive and sustainable.
We surface what actually works on the ground — co-creating solutions with workers, factories, and communities — and then bring these proven models to brands and businesses.

Building evidence on lived realities inside supply chains

Designing interventions together with the people inside the system

Translating proven models into industry ready practices

Women make up a large share of the workforce in sectors such as textiles in India — yet across most other industries, they remain significantly under-represented.
Our goal is to build factory environments where women can participate, contribute and lead. We aim to both increase women’s entry into factories, and ensure that once inside, they have the conditions, safety and support needed to truly thrive.
Our research indicates that the baseline for worker health and safety is extremely low. Many workers operate in difficult environments, with limited access to basic health services, safety measures, or support systems.
We aim to strengthen health and safety practices across both formal and informal manufacturing in India — so that safer, healthier working conditions become the norm, not the exception.
Much of India’s manufacturing landscape is informal and scattered. Our research aims to build a clearer picture of how production actually happens — starting with the handicrafts sector in India — so we can identify where interventions are most urgently needed, and where they can have the greatest impact.
We also explore how visibility, buyer expectations and consumer influence can drive better practices even within these informal systems.
We are currently a small team based in Delhi, India. Our founder is a graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and we are lucky to be supported by the MIT Development Lab.
